Welcome to the Rural National Defense Initiative (RNDI)

THE RURAL SOLUTION

. . . IS THE RNDI MISSION

The Rural National Defense Initiative, (RNDI) advocates for critical U.S. national-defense and homeland-security considerations associated with large-scale infrastructure projects proposed in the United States, and specifically, where – geographically – such projects are most advantageous militarily, and best positioned or "equipped," to ensure mission success: Western and Rural America.

the SECURITY ASSETS

It's that simple. The geography of Rural America is the only place where true dispersion / decentralization of U.S. data centers and campuses can happen. It is where the most demanding mission requirements can best be met: the need for open land, acreage, and continuously-harvestable energy resources capable of generating and providing massive power requirements and reserves.

*Of note: These assets further represent a multitude of new and unprecedented opportunities for rural states, local governments, individual farmers, ranchers, and agrarian communities alike.

OUR WORK

We promulgate verifiable facts, cited data material, published studies and research work, subject matter expert (SME) interviews, and both industry-based and independent news reports particular to a specifically-proposed project, initiative, or undertaking representing the RNDI-advocated "rural solution," where the support of a local community – real people too often referred to as "stakeholders" (please stop) – is needed to engender votes of final approval to proceed from local government officials. We utilize the RNDI website's source library and state- or locality-specific RNDI micro-websites populated with our collection of the above referenced materials to engage people and interests online, via video platforms, new and/or existing social media pages, and other online advertising. RNDI and partners can also advance information campaigns that include in-person engagements and canvassing, direct mail, and/or other messaging-delivery strategies.

the COALITION ADVANTAGE

The Rural National Defense Initiative is one of six, independently-licensed and branded subsidiary organizations of THOS., a highly-specialized, strategic consulting firm that "makes the big stuff happen" and brings large-scale infrastructure projects, local government capital improvements, and ambitious economic development initiatives to fruition. RNDI and THOS. partner organizations each work autonomously, together, and with national, state, and local, community-based interest groups sharing THOS. company values. The RNDI partnership includes Gridvocate, P3Yes, DC Frog, and Farmed, LLC. This partnership brings additional, organizational focus from overlapping interests: Gridvocate's mission is to both advance American-sourced energy production and strengthen our nation's electrical grid; this organizational interest represents a power solution for data centers and data center campuses. P3Yes is a public-private partnership (P3) advocacy organization whose mission to build and promote P3 opportunities is a feasibility solution for data center financing challenges. Data Center Frog (DC Frog) aggregates and distributes articles, reports, and other information (like RNDI), but with a focus more specific to the economic development impact, quality-of-life improvements, and end-user benefits data centers represent for regions served. Farmed, LLC works in advocacy specific to rural economic development initiatives, which could not be more specific to the opportunities coinciding with the dispersal and decentralization of America's data center infrastructure. *Of note, Farmed owns one of the first ever "dot ag" URLs in the United States.
